Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the deeper layers of the muscle tissue. Specific techniques are used to reach the deep sections of the muscles, specifically the individual muscle fibres, hence helping to loosen muscle tissues, release toxins and improve the circulation of oxygen and blood. The purpose of the massage is to unstick the fibres of the muscles and release both toxins and deeply held tension points. It is beneficial for many physical problems such as sporting injuries and chronic pain as well as addressing emotional issues when these have been stored in the body. Deep tissue massage may cause soreness during or after the session; however you should feel better within the next day or two.
